I used to run a monthly rest and renew class at Lower Shaw Farm in Swindon – in fact I inherited the class from one teacher, who inherited it from another, and I passed it on in turn. For many years, this quiet little gem of a class met and snuggled down together, and it was a privilege to hold space for it for a while.
I have two series of yoga nidras recorded there available on my website. Did you know there are more than a dozen collections of yoga nidras you can buy for a few pounds each? I should probably mention it more often!
Anyway, this yoga nidra never made it into a collection, but it is a rather nice one, and perfect for warmer days. It takes as its theme the idea of cosying up in a comfortable nest outside, on a late Spring day. It’s also one of my longer yoga nidras - over 35 minutes long. Perfect for an extended nap on the longest day of the year, or anytime when you’ve got time to really rest.
