A trip to Leeds!
As I spent A LOT of last year flying around the globe, so I’m thankful to be spending time a bit more locally - In March I’ll be heading to Leeds University to deliver a guest lecture - Lineage, heritage and brand: untangling the genealogies of modern yoga with friend Dr Aled Thomas.
Barefoot Body - YTT
In May I’ll be dropping into the Yoga Teacher Training with Beverley at Barefoot Body, taking the first session for the new cohort on ethics and consent.
Paris!
At the end of May I’ll be off to Paris to the YDYS conference (more on that to come!) and of course, whilst I’m there I’ll take some time to see friends at Satya Yoga.
Berkshire Yoga Festival
I have a very exciting trip to the USA coming up in June! Where I’ll be leading a session called ‘Letting Be: Consent as a spiritual practice’
This gently contemplative session asks: what would happen if we brought consent into the heart of our yoga? Is there a way to be together, side by side, and cherish our uniqueness, our differences, and even our brokenness together? If we pause to notice the moment in which we decide to say either ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the practice, what might we achieve, on the mat, off the mat, and in the world?
These surprisingly profound enquiries will be explored through quiet movement, a little optional pair work, and a nourishing yoga nidra together. Suitable for anyone ready to think a little deeper about what it is we’re doing, alone and together, on the mat.
