Barefoot Body - Ethics & Consent
This week, I’ll be dropping into the Yoga Teacher Training with Beverley at Barefoot Body. I’m excited to be taking the first session for the new cohort on ethics and consent.
YDYS Conference, Paris!
At the end of May I’ll be off to Paris to the YDYS conference.
If you are going to be in Paris in the last week of May, and might be able to join us, there’s a link for non-presenters to sign up for places below. As the link says:
“You can attend this academic event FREE OF CHARGE by registering below and stating your status and affiliation. We are aware that the lectures on offer are likely to appeal to a wide audience. We are however constrained by the number of seats available at the conference center and are reserving these first for individuals with an academic affiliation. Persons without an academic affiliation will be placed on a waiting list and the organizing team will inform those individuals on May 26 whether seats are available. We appreciate your understanding.”
Berkshire Yoga Festival
I have a very exciting trip to the USA coming up in June! Where I’ll be leading a session called ‘Letting Be: Consent as a spiritual practice’
This gently contemplative session asks: what would happen if we brought consent into the heart of our yoga? Is there a way to be together, side by side, and cherish our uniqueness, our differences, and even our brokenness together? If we pause to notice the moment in which we decide to say either ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to the practice, what might we achieve, on the mat, off the mat, and in the world?
These surprisingly profound enquiries will be explored through quiet movement, a little optional pair work, and a nourishing yoga nidra together. Suitable for anyone ready to think a little deeper about what it is we’re doing, alone and together, on the mat.
